The Westchester Chapter convenes in White Plains on the first Saturday of every month, except July and August. Chapter practice committees meet from 9 to 10am. Networking, refreshments and a business meeting follow. At each meeting there is then an educational workshop with a speaker. At 12:00 the Interim Committee convenes. The groups and educational workshops are free to members. We invite you to attend our monthly meetings, educational programs, educational conference and other activities. These events give you the opportunity to learn about the Westchester Chapter of the Society and participate in our activities. It will meet each month after the main Chapter meeting. The chairperson of the Legislative Committee is a member of the Society’s Legislative Committee, which organizes all of the Society’s legislative activities. Terry Nathanson, MSW, LCSW Vendorship and Managed Care CommitteeThe Vendorship Committee provides information and consultation to assist members of the Chapter in dealing with managed care and other vendorship issues. The chairperson of the Vendorship Committee is a member of the Society's Vendorship Committee, which organizes the Society vendorship related activities. Linda Plastrik WebsiteThe Website Monitor makes sure that the Society’s website remains current and responsive to the needs of the Society. Each chapter has a chapter website coordinator who is a member of the Society’s Website Committee and is responsible to enter their chapter’s news and events onto their chapter’s web page on the Society website. Practice CommitteesChild and Adolescent: Informal Case ConsultationsThe Child and Adolescent Peer-led Clinical Interest Group brings together clinical social workers who are interested in clinical social work with children and adolescents to discuss and explore issues relating to the evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents and to hold periodic educational activities about clinical social work with children and adolescents. Members in agency practice come to discuss issues relevant to their work. The advice, sharing and support of the group’s members make the experience meaningful. Differences and similarities in each person’s background, work history and life experiences enhance the exchange.
