Nassau Chapter

Welcome to the web page of the Nassau Chapter of the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work, Inc.  The Nassau Chapter covers Nassau County on Long Island.

The Nassau Chapter Board meets every month (except July and August) at Molloy College in Rockville Centre.  Every other month, the monthly Chapter Board meetings are followed by an educational workshop.  The Chapter Board meetings and educational programs are open to all Chapter members.  The Chapter holds an annual education conference each December.  The Chapter conducts an annual book author brunch where the author of a book relevant to clinical social work practice is invited to present about their work, followed by a discussion.  The Chapter holds an annual new member brunch in October, to welcome new members of the Chapter, at which an educational workshop is presented.  You may check the Nassau Chapter Calendar for information about these meetings, educational programs and other activities.

The Nassau Chapter has a number of committees.   Some of these committees are those which help carry out Chapter functions (Book Author Brunch Committee, Membership Committee, Mentorship Committee, Newsletter Committee, Peer Consultation Committee, Program Committee, Volunteers Committee and Website Committee) or liaise with larger State Society committees which address statewide issues (Legislative Committee and Vendorship Committee).  Other committees are practice committees which bring together members who are interested in particular areas of clinical social work practice (Disaster Preparedness Committee and Child Therapy Practice Committee).  If you have any questions about a committee or wish to join a committee, you may contact the committee’s chairperson listed below.  You may check the Nassau Chapter Calendar for information about committee meetings and programs.

We welcome you to attend our monthly meetings, bi-monthly educational programs, annual education conference, annual book author brunch, annual new member brunch and other activities, to learn about the Society and the Nassau Chapter, to join with us and to participate actively in Nassau Chapter activities.
